Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as a crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers towards DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. Her current position as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She co-hosted several of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. The host of The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
